When I was young I played with stuffed animals like other girls played with dolls. I see this image as the blending again of imagination into reality whether it is a stuffed bear or real one no distinction is made as there is absolutely no difference between the two. I like to create the perspective from the expression of the children that I paint that even though this is an exceptional experience it is not at all exceptional to them just life as it always is by way of the imagination. She is totally immersed in their experience as if it was absolutely the most normal thing they could be doing simply having some friends in for tea. I had so much fun painting this piece that it became the catalyst for the one that came next mother goose.
