Dario Campanile (b. 1948) began his artistic odyssey began in Rome, where a chance encounter with oil paints during a childhood illness sparked a lifelong devotion to art. His exceptional talent, recognized early by luminaries including Salvador Dalí (who dubbed him the “Roman Master”) and Giorgio de Chirico, led to significant achievements including the creation of Paramount Pictures’ iconic mountain logo in 1986.
A pivotal moment in his career came through his participation in “The Missing Peace” project, where he had the rare privilege of painting the Dalai Lama from life. After mastering realism and surrealism, Campanile has evolved into the realm of abstract expressionism, where he finds his purest form of artistic voice.
