“High Velocity, that’s what comes to mind looking at this whirling dance of energy as she casts her eyes about the room. One delicate slipper gone, and what of her mask? Did she throw it down or merely drop it? Questions abound with this one, and so many ways to answer them! Creating a fantasy character like this is so much fun for me, I never really know what they are about or what they are going to do. I start with the barest of an idea and let the shapes of things take it where they will. I’ve done various forms of dragon characters over the years and I knew this one was rising up in a swirling tornado shape. Wings, shoes, mask and other details changed and emerged at will.”
