A Word from Michael Parkes: Some believe that long ago devas shared in the making of this Creation. Could it be that this image depicts the making of the very first dragonfly? Michael Parkes is an American artist who resides in Spain and primarily works in the realm of Magical Realism. He has produced a large body of work over his 50 year career, including painting, drawing, sculpture, stone lithography, and limited edition giclee prints. His artworks are found in the collections of celebrities, discerning private patrons, and galleries spanning the globe.
In June of 2024, Michael Parkes announced he would be semi-retiring to spend more time with his loved ones. On August 15th, 2024, the last of the Michael Parkes Fine Art Editions were sold to collectors, ending the supply of new authorized limited editions of his work.
