A Word from Michael Parkes: The Lotus was originally created as a gift for my daughter, Auromira, at the time of her wedding. The litho reflects the simple divine beauty of a single lotus. If you look carefully you will find an Indian symbol of a star with a lotus in the middle. One triangle of the star represents human aspiration from below and the other is Divine Grace from above….creating a square in the middle with a lotus in the center, a symbol of Perfection. One can also contemplate the fact that a lotus’s perfection begins its journey deep within the mud of a pond.
